Who We Are

Our school is Ivanhoe Elementary. We are called the Ivanhoe Dragons. We are and always will be smart, awesome, competitive and one of the top ten schools in LA. We have top 7 teachers such as Mr. Lee, Ms. Jones, Ms, Demindjian, Ms. Whitten, Ms. Merloni, Mr. Sandoval, Mr. Wegner and Ms. Morris. Our school is making history with the 1 to 1 program, letting 4-5 graders have laptop computers. We also have cool programs like Full Circle, which is fun because we get to go on field trips such as hikes and stuff.

Our class, Room 14, is a creative, respectful and cooperative class. We have 33 students and Ms. Jones is our fifth grade teacher. Also, we are like one big family. We help each other and work together.

Our community is in Silver Lake and it is a good community. We also have fun events at in Silver Lake and at Ivanhoe. In Full Circle we have learned to care for it and keep it clean.

In Full Circle, there are four tribes: Air, Earth, Fire and Water. A tribe is like a big family. After spending all our Full Circle time together, we have become great friends. We have accomplished a lot by working together and combining our efforts for the sake of others. We always have a good time amongst ourselves, and, as kids, having fun is the most important thing. A clan is a smaller part within a tribe. Tribes work together, but sometimes we split into our two clans. In our clans, it is easier to brainstorm and then share our ideas with the whole tribe.
